Adeodata Marie Ange Assoumpta: Helping Small Businesses in Rwanda Grow Stronger

Adeodata Marie Ange Assoumpta is a Rwandan finance consultant on a mission to help small businesses grow and succeed. As the founder of COINS Professional Advisors, she supports entrepreneurs with accounting, taxes, marketing, and business development especially those who often go overlooked.

Raised in Nyamirambo, a lively neighborhood in Kigali, Adeodata was inspired by the women running market stalls and shops. That early admiration grew into a vision: to empower small businesses with the tools they need to do better.

While studying finance, Adeodata also ran side businesses selling fabrics and beauty products. She saw firsthand how many business owners had passion, but lacked the knowledge to manage finances or access funding. This inspired her to launch COINS in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, using her own savings.

“Even a small coin matters,” she says reflecting the belief behind the name COINS.

Since then, her company has supported many entrepreneurs, offering services directly in communities and online. Despite challenges like limited funding and being a young woman in a male-dominated field, Adeodata has become a trusted advisor for Rwanda’s small business community.

She now plans to launch COINS Connect, a digital platform to help two new businesses every month. Within five years, she hopes to open physical support hubs across Rwanda, bringing training and digital access to areas where it's needed most.

Her advice to fellow entrepreneurs: “Start with what you have. Solve real problems. Don’t wait to be perfect. And never stop learning.”
